This money will contribute to, and enabled the purchase of, the pub lease, followed by the upgrading of the car park, drainage of the campsite and the building of a village and campsite shop.

BUT – that is not the end of the story. Further fundraising is still required and is continuing. Vital to this is asking you to buy a loan bond in the venture or to give us a donation. This shows to all the funders that there is a high level of local commitment.

People from all around the world as well as the Pewsey Vale have expressed an interest (and some have already contributed) so we are confident we will raise all we need.

The process is simple –

     FIRST

THEN

• Let us have your donation either as a cheque or cash

OR

• Let us have a cheque, cash or bank transfer for any amount ( minimum £20.00 ) to purchase any number of Barge Inn Community Project Loan Bonds

What happens to my money?

The minimum investment is £20 and this will be seen as an unsecured fixed term interest free loan repayable in December 2012. Every investor has to become a member of The Barge Inn Community Project (there are very few restrictions on who can join) which is a company limited by guarantee and will be run on a one-member, one-vote basis.

On receipt of your funds, your money will be placed in the company account and a bond sent to you. At the appropriate time the Barge Inn Community Project  will invest the money directly in the project. If for some reason the project does not proceed the bond will be repaid in full.

Can I get my money back?

Donations - funds will be applied directly to the project and cannot be repaid.

Bonds – these are repayable at the end of the term (unless there are exceptional circumstances).
